  • I use it regularly.
  • seriously, I feel like im a kook when I wave!
  • i still do it but people are generally rude. i (a female) held the door open for a man last week, he didn't even give me a nod of thanks.
  • Not sure but I'm totally convinced that men wave far more often that women. I'm a man btw so please don't mod me down for what is an honest observation!
  • It got left behind along with the "smile for no reason", the "no, YOU take the parking space closer to the store", "can I help you with that", "please" and "thank you"...
  • I wave hopefully to keep people calm and not shoot me.
  • I still use it and always will but I think it has been overtaken by the one finger wave for "what took you so long to let me in?!"
  • I was surprised to see your profile said you live in Texas, I thought they still had common courtesy there. You still see that wave in California.
  • I wave whenever anyone lets me in or over or whatever, but i hear ya it doesn't happan often. Road rage is the in thing now I guess??
  • I do wave and also say I'm sorry if I make a mistake
  • I am from NC and for the most part we all let each other out in traffic, like you let one and then that person lets the next guy out. I always wave and mouth "thank you". I get it from most people (the "thanks" gesture). But I think most manners these days have flown out of the window. That is why I still model good manners and try to instill them in my four year old. I have had complete strangers come up to me and tell me how well behaved and well mannered my kid is and that is 98% of the time that he doesn't have to be reminded. I wasn't really made to be polite when I was young but thankfully I picked it up somehow. No matter how rude or impolite people are, it won't change how I do things.
