  • I agree that given that as a premise, it would at least be better for the babies to be aborted. I, as a Christian, however, do NOT believe that all unborn infants who die necessarily go to heaven, and thus it is not logical for me to believe that.
  • That's ridiculous. You have no idea what will happen to these children or how they will turn out. All of the good people in the world have had to over come great obstacles in life so your argument that a rough life is worse than no life is flawed. There is also adoption. There are many people who would love to adopt these children if given a chance but adoption has been given such a bad name lately that many people have shied away from it.
  • And there is me thinking that Christians believe in the whole first sin concept, where we are born sinful. That's why baby christening came in- so many babies were not surviving that they wanted to make sure they went to heaven and christened them ASAP. Maybe I just need to pay more attention to my RE teacher. We are talking about human lives here. Not everything is so black and white you know. I am athiest and pro choice, but even I understand that it's a decision that needs a lot of careful thought. Now, I believe many Christians see abortion as murder, and a lot of Christians would rather at least give a child a chance at life. Some people turn out better than others. Sure, upbringing has a lot to do with it but there are other factors. I know wonderful people who have suffered abuse like you wouldn't believe. They have their rough patches, we all do, but that doesn't make them any less of a person. It can even improve the quality of their character in some aspects. It's important to stop the cycle yes, and it can be done through things like education, and councelling. I find the way you look at this situation to be so cruel, and heartless. You make it sound as if people who aren't loved are not worthy of a chance. I see the point you are trying to make. However, as an unwanted and unloved child myself, I would stress you to actually think of these 'abortions' as potential people. I was given a life and I am incredibly grateful for it, I can't ask for more. I was going to be aborted, but wasn't, and have since endevoured to be the best person I can. I am not doing too bad by all accounts. So I stress... just think about the implications of that kind of statement before you say it. I should imagine quite a few people feel a little hurt by such a statement, including myself.
  • I think that those little Amish girls who were murdered in their schoolhouse went to heaven. By the logic of this question, the monster who murdered them was doing them a favor--sent them all to heaven and sent himself to hell. However, human life is God's creation and it is up to Him to take it back when He thinks right. Also, each Christian has a lot of good to do in this world before he dies and it's none of our business to be a death cult like some other religions are.
  • If we follow this logic, why should Christians not kill all their unborn children? They would all go to Heaven and would not risk to go to Hell. But I think not all Christians are sure what happens with unborn children and most of them would try to avoid abortion, if possible. And probably some Christians are not even sure that everything that the pope says is right.
  • Abortion is not the right answer, because it's againt God.
  • But where will I get my stem cells from? Common, I need to finish my clone army
  • Babies may not be wanted by their mothers, but they are wanted by other women who have none. Wouldn't it be better to give these babies to good mothers? Murder is not the answer. Besides, how can we determine who will be "hell-bound"? Our senior pastor came from an unloving home, and he is a great man of God.
  • Were you raised in a loving home??? Are you in a loving world??? Is your life without trial or trouble??? Someone who is born has life. Well maybe somebody should kill you? Would that be murder or maybe you could call it POST-BIRTH ABORTION. Or should they let you live and make your own life when you are able. I may have gone too far or tried to blast you I just feel strongly about this issue. I am not attacking you personally at all
  • I could get into an accident saturday did you want kill me in a more humane fashion. It's always the same with pro murder types. "Its more convenient, so why is it wrong?" That is a HUMAN LIFE. It is murder. It is murder for convenience sake! The blood of the innocent will not go unjudged.
  • Adoption is a logic option for such cases. My 2 cents.
  • In the bible it clearly says though shalt not kill. And when a woman decides to abort a baby it is killing one of God's many wonderful creations. There are many other options for to be mothers if they feel they are not capable to raise a child.
