What do you think of The Godfather trilogy? One of the best group of movies ever made or completely unecessary?

One of the best. Also, this is one of the cases where the movie(s) was better than the book. The book was no great accomplishment, but the film(s) showcased some GREAT performances, writing, lighting, music, etc. etc. etc. through all the zillion ensemble efforts that add up to great film-making.

Watched them all, never really cared... at all.... didn't like them.

I've only watched them on TV but I really like them. I think they deserve the recognition they get. GIII isn't as good a GI and GII but in all they are good.
