You should contact your card providers and tell them you are having problems meeting the payments, they will be able to help. Do this ASAP before things get worse.

Best thing to do is, Call them of write them a letter explaining your situation and offer them how much you can afford also send them an income and expendature this they CAN NOT refuse your offer. Legally. Also you can request them to FREEZE the interest as well. which they will do. for about 6 - 12 months

Legally they can not refuse any payment offers. as i said in my first answer, call them and/or write them. If they say they cant on the phone they will do that to try bully you in to paying what you cant afford. they will try threaten you with legal crap but they can not action any of what they say, even if they do as far as it will go is to a collection agency who will have no CHOICE but to accept your offer. they also have to freeze your interest until you are back on your feet or an agreed time period is up.

I used to work in the debt management department of a credit card bank and the best thing I can advise is to write them a hardship letter, they can reduce the APR for a short time and you can also ask them in the letter if they might please waive some of the fees. I would also recommend being very nice in the letter (I never waived fees for the rude demanding ones).
