Do you prefer the 'live' version of a song or the polished up studio version? Why?

Depends how good the artist is. I love a really good live version of a song if they are a great singer but if they are flat or out of tune i'd obviously prefer the studio version. I love artists who can sing amazingly and do accoustic versions.

I like the live version if im at a concert or if its a song that was only recorded once and at a concert. minus human, no leaf clover. In my car I prefer the studio version. Nothing is wrong with editing. All books are edited.

Depends on the band. I love Lynyrd Skynrd live, and The Eagles live. Some bands just sound naff live.

Studio version. I don't like the sound differential when the applause and shrieking comes in.
