  • Using Pods this weekend... I'll let ya know how it goes!
  • A friend of mine recently got a quote from them.. all total to get a Pack Rat 16 foot unit is about $400 the first month and then $200 each month after. If you plan on storing your belongings for a couple of months it may be worth it.. but people like me pack and move within a couple weeks..for us its not worth it. A Uhaul that is 26 feet is only $39 a day and its on wheels! It should be clear what to choose depending on your situation.
  • I work for 1-800-PACK-RAT and I can tell you that there are many things that separate us from our competition - like the transportation system, our all-steel construction, the fact that our warehouses are climate-controlled - but first and foremost what sets us apart is our dedication to customer service. We have a 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. We truly do what it takes to make our customers satisfied. I don't think many companies claim to do this. I may be a little biased, but I know who I would choose to help me move or store my personal belongings. Just check us out www.1800packrat.com
  • PODS destroyed my brick pavers and then when the realized that they slid it on to my lawn and destroyed my sod. Unreal that they didn't even bother to say 'sorry sir'. So, my kitchen remodel had to include the cost of 9 new pavers and some new sod totaling $1,600. Let's just say PODS won't ever get a call from me again. There is an outfit called C-Mast in my town of Clearwater that has a neat lift system which alleviates any of these issues, plus the containter is made of steel. PODS are plywood and an acrylic top of some kind. Most of my fabric goods had mold on them when I was done with the POD.
  • i used PODS and loved it. They were quick and affordable. I would recommend PODS over pack rat because Pack rat is not as big as PODS and cant compete with the original in Portable On Demand Storage. Mylast pack rat enconter was a disaster and I ended up suing Pack Rat over a tree their men damaged in my front yard.
  • This is a TERRIBLE COMPANY. No one answers the phone. I tried to calling Andy Friedman, corporate headquarters in Bethesda, MD, several times, without even a courtsey return call regarding a chargeback from one of his clients. All we needed was a copy of the signed pick up receipt from their Bolingbrook Branch to remedy the chargeback of $2570.00. NO ONE ANSWER THE PHONE AT CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS and you can even fax a letter to them, the fax doesn't even answer. This is no way for a corporation to do business with another business. B2B. Our only alternative as a merchant to recover our losses is to file a lawsuit against POD/PACK-RAT, if this corporate headquarters even exist. I would NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Poor P.R relations with businesses. THERE'S NOBODY AT CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS THAT ANSWERS THE PHONE TO HELP RESOLVE A PROBLEM, NOT EVEN THE FAX MACHINE ANSWER!!!
  • TERRIBLE CUSTOMER RELATIONS! IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, THERE IS NO ONE TO ANSWER THE PHONES EITHER CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS OR YOUR BRANCH OFFICE.
  • PACK-RAT needs to answer their corporate phone because I have a $2570.00 problem! I was given Andy Friedman, at the Besthesda, Maryland coprorate office. I'll tell you, he won't answer his phone, won't return phone calls, does he exist? Their fax machine says DISCONNECTED! What's the problem out there? If you are a merchant like we are, you got real problems if you are trying to resolve a problem with this corporation! GO ELSEWHERE!! LOTS OF OTHER BUSINESS THAT ANSWERS!
  • WOOHOOO!!! Thank you ANDY FRIEDMAN for ALL YOUR HELP!!! Thank you for returning our call and thank you for releasing the document needed to reverse a chargeback of $2570. You saved our company big $$$$ and prevented the headache of filing a lawsuit!!!!!
