  • whatever's at the salad bar. but lettuce, olives, & blue cheese dressing for sure. maybe bacon bits, egg, ummm...whatever else.
  • Bag of mixed greens, including baby spinach. Bacon bits (real ones). Candied walnuts. Thin-sliced asian pear or dried cranberries. Parmesan. Balsamic vinaigrette.

  • Oh dear...I'm notorious for my (everything BUT the kitchen sink) summer salads... NEVER any Ice Burg Lettuce...worthless no nutritional value garbage...the San Diego Zoo won't even feed it to their animals who eat lettuce! Other than THAT...it's a free for all in my kitchen! Red Leaf, Green Leaf, Romaine... Green onions cut thin, Cukes, Tomatoes (red, or yellow, large or small). Fresh SPINACH...YES YES YES! Grated carrots, boiled egg, CHEESE (good cheese mind you no velvetta, plastic wanna be cheese for me). Slightly cooked (just to take the edge off but leave crunchy) Broccoli or cauliflower, or Bok Choy! Garbanzo beans, and or...kidney beans, black beans (drained well and dumped in according to the size of the whole!) Juliane beets, (thawed) baby sweet peas, sweet corn! Sometimes dried Cranberries! Sometimes meats...grilled chicken, turkey, steak cut very thin on the bias! Tuna, ok canned...but much better FRESH GRILLED! Smokey Ham, or Smoked Turkey from my smoker! OOps I forgot...sometimes fresh cooked bacon! Mushrooms! Bell peppers in green/yellow/orange/red.. whatever is in the house at the time! Some times bits of orange or apple... Home made croûtons (garlic cheese with olive oil!) (And sometimes for fun I GRILL the veggies (switching to red or vidalia onions) (don't grill the cukes!) Yummm..lets eat!

  • Love. OK Here's my favorite. Stem and quarter a head of iceberg. Plate it off and cover the iceberg with 3 oz's of bleu cheese crumbles and then 3 ounces of good BC dressing. Top that with t heaping tablespoons of homemade crispy bacon crumbled it half inch bits. serve and stand back.

  • I mentioned this once when someone was talking about apples. Crab apple salad. Crab meat, diced apples and miracle whip. Yummy.
  • I prefer the salad to be very simple. Slice one awesome finely and add oil and lemon juice

  • Get a Cos lettuce, shredded carrot, a cheese burger, cucumber, red onion (ringed) and pitted olives. Abracadabra: A cheeseburger salad!
