But seriously, it's really only wrong for a man to wear one when he's not comfortable wearing one, and when people around him can see it at a time when they probably shouldn't be able to see it.

I wore thongs all the time until one day my left one broke at the beach. I just left them there. Figured someone else can have them if they want to fix that one part.

It is great that you asked this AR! My dad when skiing in Colorado for the end of the season and on the last day the slopes were open he saw two men downhill skiing in nothing but thongs! Apperently that had already fallen a few times and had some 'road rash' (snow rash?) on thier backsides. He claimed that nobody should have seen that! (Can't say I disagree, but I didn't see them)

yes. I don't find men in thongs attractive, nor do i like my men to wear speedo's at the beach... I prefer a more masculine silhouette, I guess you could say. Boxer briefs and all that. But if he's comfortable in a thong, have at it.
