    Pandiri

Russian writting of this family name is "Агеносов".
It is not related to "agent", but probably related to nose ("нос"). Like many Russian family names, it can not be tracked down to some exact and particular meaning. However, this family name sounds with some sharm of nobility.

It comes from the Russian name Agen.

    Means "son of Agen."

“Ov”, “off”, “in”, “vich” and “ev” at the end of a Russian surname indicate the surname means “son of ____” (whatever). It should also be noted that “off” is often the “English” version of “ov.” It is also used by Russians to make their name sound more aristocratic.
