  • It looks like it is the name of a Ukrainian person in Russia. I can tell because it has "enkov"...which I think is a shortening of "enkoov." The "enko" would signify Ukrainian roots and the "ov" is of course Russian. It means "son of Age." Age is probably a form of "Aggei", which means "creative, festive." http://heraldry.sca.org/paul/a.html “Ov”, “off”, “in”, “vich” and “ev” at the end of a Russian surname indicate the surname means “son of ____” (whatever). It does not necessarily mean “son of [father’s name]” it could also mean “son of [animal]” or any other descriptive term, although it is often a person’s name. It should also be noted that “off” is often the “English” version of “ov.” It is also used by Russians to make their name sound more aristocratic.
