I think the worst kind of discrimination is the secret discriminations we all do. It's the worst because it's so secret that we don't even realize we're doing it most of the time, until it's pointed out to us. Then we are so embarrassed by it, we just deny the fact that it exists rather than doing something about it. And that is were the problem lies, with the denial, because then nothing can or will be done about it.

Intra religious discrimination: When someone from your own religion with slightly different beleifs(different sect) claims to be more superior. Its more political than anything else. It leads to war and deaths or general disharmony

It's all terrible. Discrimination is simply judging another based on some physical aspect that cannot be changed or perceived "trait" that is in some way troubling to another. Judging others is something I try to avoid. It's hurtful for the judged and judgment maker alike. To the person discriminated against, it's unfair. To the person passing judgment, it's personal poison. If a person is judgmental toward others, it follows that they are likely to judge themselves very harshly as well.

Firstly, not ALL discrimination is wrong, sorry to disagree with another answer. We all discriminate and that is a good thing! You discriminate food that has spoiled from food that has not, that is a good thing to do or you'd have ecoli every day. When hiring for a job you discriminate by choosing the best person for the job. When choosing friends you discriminate between good people and idiots. That is all fine. So my answer is discrimination on foolish grounds such as religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation etc when the practice of that discrimination is not applicable to the situation. E.g. not hiring a gay man because he is gay is a reprehensible form of discrimination as a person's sexuality has nothing to do with their professional capabilities however if I choose not to date said individual (because I am not gay) that is fine and dandy as it is a perfectly relevant criteria for me to discriminate on. At the moment I would say we have a nasty bundle of racsim, sexism, homophobia and religious intolerance in the world all of which I despise.

Great intelligent question! +3! For me I think it's discrimination of people with special needs. Here in East European countries (especially EX-Yugoslav countries) there haven't been any facilities in public places for those people until the middle 90s, due to the very hard political and economic situation (not because we are bad, as CNN and BBC try to present us). Those people were left aside, without help and support, of course nobody wanted to hire them. This has changed recently, so the employers have to hire someone with special needs or pay high taxes to the state. But what was much worse (and is the same thing in a more sadistic form) was Hitler's racial cleaning and killing of disabled people who were not good enough for german race.

Well, there's lots of different ones but let me add discrimination against the gifted and discrimination against teetotallers into the mix. Hell, I might even add discrimination based on the clothing one wears, the music they listen to, and where they live as well.

I'm forever being discriminated against at my workplace for having a full beard by the management. So now, I'm gonna grow it for the next 10 years, keep it ungroomed, unkept, caveman like, let my moustache grow over both my upper & lower lip & tell them to come & kiss my arse... I do love a rebel.

When people discriminate against someone else for something that that person really can't do anything about!
-
Racial- because nobody asked to be the color they are....The only person i know that could change the color they was is Micheal Jackson and he is confused and has to ask us if he is one color or the other..LOL..Nor the sex as far as sexual dicrimination..

Reverse discrimination. Reverse discrimination is a term used to describe the effects of government policies (most notably Affirmative action); namely that they benefit a group (percieved as disadvantaged) at the expense of discrimination against another group.

Well, being a black male I could say what some would think the obvious and say racism but I actually think overweight people are way more discriminated against that black males are. Overwieght people especially women tend to get treated like shit
