Telephones, land or mobile, amazing you can talk to someone at any point in time if you think about it. Relatively not so long ago it took weeks or months to relay a message with no guarantee the intended recipient would get it.

A refrigerator to stick them on. You wouldn't want to use your computer, since the stick stuff messes up the screen.
