I used to do this with love songs, but that was many years ago. Belinda Carlisle songs about love, and Id compare that with my feelings at the time. These days I listen to a lot of instrumental and ambient music which takes me to spiritual places, and I listen to a piece that reflects where I am. I have always compare the lyrics of songs to my life and I still do. I have a very large collection of music with lyrics. Their are two songs actually that describes losing my one true love years ago. the first is a song by a soul group The dramatics called I can't get over you...in the lyrics it says I've tried and tried but I can't get over you. The second is my Luther Vandross: called I Rather. This song really depicts the true love and how much he meant to me.
