Family Doctor recommends Advil or Tylenol with other medicines such as Anbesol, Oragel, Orabase and Zilactin-B keep it form being irritate. I have attached sources for your reference. Try rinsing your mouth out with salt and warm water. That usually helps make them go away.

I use oraldyne mouthwash. Good oral hygiene is vital for the healing of these, and care with tooth brushing, do not jab or pole them accidently with a toothbrush. Kepping the mouth moist with water helps for me, when the mouth is dry they can rub against other dry parts in the mouth.
