  • Well....they are being flooded with a ton of different hormones that cause them to be filled with love and hate for absolutely everything and they haven't learned to control that vast amount of hormones yet.
  • Every age has it's pros and cons. At that age, kids are going through a lot of physical and mental changes, begin to question authority more, have difficulty fitting in groups as well as be confused by not feeling either kids or teenagers, hormones acting up, the list goes on and on...
  • Hormones play a big part, not being sure of their place socially is also tough. On top of that is the onset of abstract reasoning (Piaget). They consider grown-up issues and have these great insights, but often don't have the breadth of knowledge to consider them thoroughly, thus you end up with kids who maybe decide to become vegetarians because they like animals, but don't like beans or green vegetables so would forfeit healthy eating. Still can't really see the big picture.
