In all likelihood you have shinsplints. Take a look at this website: http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/front/lowerleg/shinsplints.htm

OOch that is very painful thing to have, ive suffered a simler thing myself its known as shin splints, if you rub your finger up and down your shin you will probably feel it is like lumpy, im not totally sure whya this happens but with some treat ment and rest it should ease off, if not go to your doctor, shin splints dont go away unfortunatly. Good Luck i feel for you

Agreed, sounds like shin splints or if you are fairly young, it could be (don't quote my spelling, it's probably wrong) Osgood Slaughter's disease. Though that sounds bad it is usually just "grown out of" and they tell you to take it easy for a while.

Yes. You have splints. You can do simple stretching excercises to help them loosen up and they will get better with use. You will get more flexible and toned. Roll up a towel and lay on your back. Hook the towel over the middle of your foot and stretch the foot up and away toward the ceiling while giving resistence with with towel. Do both sides a few times and do your work out. Do the same to cool down. I have heard that the negative heel shoes like those made by MBT help with splints. http://www.swissmasaius.com/

I have these. What I do before I run (for tennis) is rub pain relieving gel on my shins. It feels like hot and cold at the same time and tingly and smells really medical. Then, after practice, I put ice on them. I've heard that wrapping Ace bandages around the area really tightly can help.

It's called shin-splints. Drink more water and keep running. Eventually you won't get them.

This is called shin-spints. Be sure to stretch, keep hydrated, make sure the type of shoes you are wearing are good shock absorbers, wear thicker socks, and you may want to run on a different surface. If you are running on the cement, you may try running on either a track or just hard ground. You need something that will give a little. Kinda like a Wimbeldon...on the grass court the balls have much more bounce. Good luck.
