I've got dual citizenship. I was born in England, but live in the US and gained citizenship at 13. Fiercely proud of both.

I'm from America, but I'm Polish. I never understood nationalism. Why be proud of somewhere that you didn't have the choice to be from. Be proud of a lifestyle that you've taken up. I'd say be proud of your religion, but I don't agree with organized religion so that's out too. Be proud of something that you've accomplished, like learning a language or a sport.

it is impossible to be proud of nationality, If you were born in the US it is an accident of birth you didn't do anything to be American, you can choose to become a citizen of another country. but you have to DO someting to be proud of it. If you cure cancer you have done someting to be proud of. I can't be proud of being Irish or German, because I was born to it. I didn't do anything to be proud of

I am proud of my nationality though am not a flag waver,chest puncher. It is good to have a national identity ,but for me I do not go overboard insisting that other countries are inferior to my own.

Sometimes - I hate to see stereotypes of different nationalities in real life and I'm afraid that I see too many of them.
