  • Um, I think if you never told him you think it's all in your head, there'd be no reason for him to think you think it's all in your head. As I said, that's what I think, now go to bed. RHYMES
  • i think it's real. been there. scary.
  • i think that these 'bad spirits, etc.' do not have anything to do with sleep paralysis and it is all in your head. i have experienced it, but i felt as though i was being smothered, my body, not my head. I was influenced into thinkin this was being caused by a bad 'being' i the room, but oh no, it was much less. It was down to over-active imagination. I believe in good spirits, but not bad.If it helps, leave the light/lamp on for a few days until you feel confident in sleeping without it. this peron that told you this is ignorant and wrong. it is in your head. BE CONFIDENT and think of something nice when you go to sleep.
  • I have had the same kind of experience, it is very frightening. You can sometimes hear noises like people talking in the room and once I even felt someone sit down on my bed. Yet apparently it's all a trick of the mind. The body and the mind are waking up at a different pace, when you sleep the body is paralysed to stop you acting out your dreams. I can go with this theory, what I can't understand is, why is it never a pleasant experience - it's always scary.
