Without a space suit they soon suffocate, followed by a process of "freeze drying" where the water will "boil off" from the cold and vacuum. If protected and in a low gee (micro gee/no gee) environment notably is bone degradation and muscle loss. If protected and in an artificial gravity then the effect will be most like living on a planet.

My teacher said that you explode first because there's no pressure what so ever in space and all the atoms in your body are pusshing out so in space there's nothing to counter that force so you explode into heaps of peices, then freeze. So yeah, you die.

Slows down aging You can FLY!!!!... well float... without the help of water If you go out in space without a space suit on... your blood will boil

I don't know, but I couldn't imagine living in a spaceship for several years. I think I would lose my marbles. :Z

Athrael's answer is good. One thing that happens when pressure drops too far is that your blood can boil (i.e. vaporise). Our blood pumps around our body under pressure that is actually higher than the air pressure around us. The pressure around us helps keep it in - just as it does with any liquid. Your body fluids would either freeze or boil off. The lack of pressure could cause your lungs to collapse, and the lack of oxygen would begin damaging your brain. Your stomach and bowels would distend as the gas inside tried to get out. If you got caught in direct sunlight with not protection, you would get burnt very badly, and the intensity would be enough to blind you. If you could survive in space for a longer term you would find your muscles begin to atrophy with lack of exertion. Even when standing, sitting or lying still down here on earth, your muscles are still fighting gravity, and so keeping some level of tone. These are some of the effects being exposed to an unshielded vacuum can cause.

lol ask stephen hawkins!!! on a serious note...the body starts to deteriorate, bone density becomes less over prolongued periods in space due to lack of gravity, muscles atrophy and the brain also has undesirable effects.

it does many things. when you go up into space your spine starts to uncompress making you grow taller. if you stay up in space for to long your bones will start to come out of place. when up in space your brain sends messages to your ear telling it that you are falling the whole time you ae in space and takes a long time to get used to.
