  • For the most part, amplifiers are amplifiers. The chance of you hearing a sonic difference between two amps that are both operating within their design power is almost nil. Based on the stats I looked at on Crutchfield.com, you should do fine with a amp that can produce about 200W per channel. That will give you around 111 dB SPL, which should be plenty. Good luck.
