  • I feel that spurs are needlessly cruel and inhumane. And, I feel that the crop is unnecessary in most situations, too. Horse naturally love to trot, canter, and gallop and will do so with a little encouragement; they don't need to speared in flank to move.
  • G'day Floydian18, Thanks for your question. I don't. I admire the success of the San Antonio Spurs given the relatively small size of the supporter base. They seem to have a strong community base. Regards
  • I'm not a big fan of Dallas Texas as I saw all my sports teams humiliated by them: the Bills and the Sabres. I moved to Tampa, Fl so I have exorcised both demons with national titles. I have nothing against San Antonio though. I liked the Admiral David Robinson and David Duncan and especially a lot of their players from the past. Sorry I can't hate this team. I just like David Robinson and Tim Duncan too much. I know the Admiral has been decomissioned but that's besides the point.
  • All excellent answers (especially love the first one!) and points all around...except for that rude, nasty person who started this thread. Who on earth could hate the Spurs. What's wrong? Not enough assault, rape and drug charges against them? They don't were bling and brawl with the fans? Not enough flash and swinging from the baskets every time they dunk? Or are they too articulate for you? They may not be your favorite team, but they're just not hatable. And someone else here mentioned their small fan base. That's true. San Antonio may be a large city, but it's a small media market and we are not really on the map for a lot of people. Spurs fans are almost always home grown (like myself). They are genuine local Spurs fans who've been there way back when the Spurs were a joke. Now they're a threat. It's not that you hate them, it's that you're afraid of them.
