  • Im most countries, if the kids were within two years of another, no charges can be laid. If the kids were over two years, like 10 and 14 there might be a chance of a prosecution, no matter how many years ago. Regardless of the distance of the age, look at the facts. Being a victim today, is manatory, don't matter what your a victim of, you must be a victim! Years ago, if you went to a shrink, you must have been a looney, nowadays, if you do not see a shrink, you are a looney! All kids like you and me, played doctors and nurses, or mummies and daddies. if you didn't, go see a shrink. The worst thing a parent can do, after a kid says that he/she was molested years ago, is pander to the kid. eg: oh you poor baby and shit. That reinforces that they are A victim
  • No way dude. I was sexually abused by a 12 year old boy when I was 6. I have real feelings that are true. I am a victim, but that doesn't mean I have to take on the "victim" attitude. I can still accomplish. I can still thrive. It has been 10 and a half years since the event, and 6 months since I told someone who'd report it. It's been reported but nothing's happened. Honestly, I don't know what to do now. Playing doctor/nurse, mommy/daddy are very different than knowingly putting a child into a sexual situation.
  • This is what I do know. Even if the kid is 13 there is method the police use to determine if the kid knows the difference between right and wrong. It's called Glayd's R. Once they Glady's R the child and it is determined that they do know the difference between right and wrong they can be charged. I was involved in a case last year where that very thing happened. The teenager in my case was charged and arrested. For what he had done. The case is still pending in juvenille court. I hope that helps someone out. Also I don't believe that you have to be a victim or take the victim role just because something bad happens to you.
