  • Not true. I have been a Scripture teacher in NSW and any religous group that has even a handful of students and can adequately staff a class is legally allowed to do so. I have been in schools which have had (besides mainline Christian groups), Jehovah's witness, Muslim, Mormon and Buddhist groups. The key issue is staffing. The school wants to know that they will not be left in the lurch with a class and no teacher.
