The best thing to do is to take a breath and evaluate the things that you value most in your life. What can you do without? What are the positives in your life? The best thing to do is to talk to someone you feel most comfortable with...find that support network...Of course we're all here if you need us...Always happy to be a sounding board...I think if we knew more specifics, it might be easier...but we're here if you feel like getting into it. I wish you well.

I feel like this most of the time. When I do I try to stay busy because if I sit and dwell on it I end up hurting myself. What usually helps me the most is getting out of the house and spending some time with a friend. Having someone to talk to that understands is a major plus. I would also suggest talking to your Dr., there are some really good medications that can help, unfortunatly they are not a one pill fits all, so you may have to try a few before you find one that works for you so if the first one doesnt work dont give up, go back and let your Dr know. If you need someone to talk to I would be happy to lend an ear.

You have to find out what is causing you to feel like this- is it external factors or is it coming from inside? Is it there all the time, or does it come and go with outside factors? If it seems like outside things are not affecting your depression, that it is there no matter how sunny the day is, or how many friends you have around, then you may have a chemical depression. In any case, talk it out with a professional: a pastor, a priest, a rabbi or a counsellor. They have heard similar things before and are trained to help. I am a depressive, and I got both medical help and counselling. I am much better now, and the worst of the depression is under control. I also found out what factors (genetic and environmental) contributed to my depression, and was able to make some changes in relationships that gave me a much more positive attitude to life. I pray that you will get help. I know how bad it feels. I would just like to say though: it might feel as if there is no hope, but there is. Believe me. I've been where you are.

G'day Zalia89, Thank you for your question. I would go and speak with a counsellor to try and sort out what the problem is. Life can seem to get on top of you so you need to get some help in tackling the blues. We all feel like that and some times and many people have long term problems. However, people in that situation can learn to cope once they get help. I have attached some sources for your reference.
