  • Zero. Contrary to populr myth, an alligator could not survive in a sewer system. For one thing, a reptile of that size needs sun and freash water, not to mention a lot of food. An animal of that size trying to live in a sewer would be sickly and malnourished, and would, in all likelyhood, die of starvation long before reaching maturity. And plus, the sewer pipes of New York are, for the most part, not nearly large enough for an alligator to move comfortably through, so even if there were any alligators living down there, they certainly wouldn't be doing any "Roaming".

  • Don't know. Those that attempted the count are no longer with us.
