  • Very little makes me downrate, unless it is racist or homophobic
  • Obvious non questions, fill in the gaps stuff and duplicates are all I downrate for.
  • Nothing since I don't downrate.:)
  • If it's really offensive or just blatantly attacking somebody and not contributing to anything. Or if it's false information. I don't downrate that often at all.
  • It is offensive or if I answer and I am treated with disrespect because I spoke the truth or my opinion (When asked for it and the question was a setup to give people downgrades when the question asks for an opinion and I speak truthfully and get DR'ed, I rightfully retaliate.
  • I downrated when I first started on here because I assumed that was the way if I didn't agree. I have since learned differently. When someone is being offensive I usually flag and the odd time DR. But I will not DR just because I don't agree with someones opinion. That is PETTY and Ignorant.
  • I will downrate a question if it shows favoritism towards a specific user and excludes others; I will downrate a question if it is racist, prejudiced, or otherwise ignorant *and* offensive in nature; I will downrate an answer when the answer is sarcastic with mal intent; I will downrate an answer if it tells me to "use google" (if the question is being asked by me, I have already used google.) I will downrate an answer if it is a rant against another user who is genuinely looking for help and advice (many of those). I will downrate an answer if it is a rant against me for THE SAKE of being a rant against me, and not because of a disagreement on point of view. Yes, I am the great negger of points. Burn me at the Answerbag Stake.
  • almost nothing...I've only DRed 3 or 4 for offensive or nonsensical content...
  • I've been here almost 2 years, and I've probably downrated someone, maybe, 2 times. The only way I downrate is when someone is totally, blatantly rude and obnoxious to someone. Answerbag is an OPINION site, (for the most part). How can opinions be wrong? Everyone has one, and just because theirs differs from mine, it doesn't mean they're wrong. I could be! But, for the most part, I stopped DR-ing. If I disagree, I just don't answer or comment. There's enuff drama as it is.
  • 1) It's offensive or insulting 2) Atrocious spelling or grammar 3)If the person puts a link to one of their questions in an answer
  • Only if the question/answer is offensive and/or vulgar... If we don't agree with it,we just ignore it ! *Just because we don't like it,it doesn't mean someone else won't.
  • Nothing. I don't downrate, I ignore.:)
  • I flip a coin. Heads, I downrate. Tails, I don't.
  • I don't :)
  • I don't. If it is offensive or nonsense I flag it. If I only disagree then I leave it.
  • I don't DR anyone for their religious or political views. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I did DR someone recently because he was extremly rude and cussing every other word. Of course I told him WHY I DR him.
  • Ask this question up in the computer category. What a bunch of sore asses, and no noticable sense of humor. Some guy asked what is a cheap way to clean fingerprings off his monitor. I simply asked if they were on the inside of the screen or on the outside, and out came the negative ratings. Sore asses.
  • Reasons I downrate someone's question include... Asking a question which can readily be found via a search engine (e.g. how many planets are in the solar system, tell me facts about some person who is readily searchable in Wikipedia or elsewhere). Asking a hateful or mean question. Asking for someone to do their homework for them (i.e. laziness). Asking questions solely for the sake of asking rather than to learn something new.
