Help answer this question below.
I don't like body building on a man nor a woman. It's freaky and unnatural. I don't like it at all.
I think if it is what they want to do then they should go for it and be good at it. People are alays going to look down on anything anyone does, it is the "can't please everyone all the time" thing. I think most of the negative stigma comes from men wanting attractive woman who are feminine and with softer features. But there are some who like a woman in shape and even strong looking. to each their own, right?
What do you mean, "what's wrong with female bodybuilders"? It's what they enjoy doing- just like you asked this question because you wanted to- and obviously felt that it was a good idea- they lift weights because they enjoy doing it and, more than anything, want to. You may as well say women can't play basketball or run for office.
To answer your question, sparkie, there's nothing "wrong" with it. I believe it's called individuality and I applaud them for it.
Probably because they look like shit.

I wasn't aware that there was anything wrong with female's that want to body build. What am I missing here?
I think women with muscle are very sexy! Any here? hello to you!
I love female bodybuilders!!! They are just sooooooooo incrediblely sexy!!!!
Nothing at all.
Nothing, untill and unless they use banned substances.
Nothing.
Nothing at all.
they don't look female... no offense intended. just an opinion..
there is nothing wrong with them! unless it is a reaction to some psycological scar or something.
a friend and ex lover of mine is a female bodybuilder
she is HOT! she started bodybuilding for the wrong reasons tho, and it took years for her to come to terms with her inner demons, but she did, and it made her hotter still!
buff beatiful beach babe!
Nothing. It is their body and they can do what they want with it. I wasn't aware that they'd invited anyone's opinion on the matter.
Nothin! Especially those who go in for "sculpting" more than "building". Just beautiful...
There's nothing wrong with them. People can do whatever they want with their own bodies. But personally, I hate a lot of muscles, especially on women.
I think it's a great sport and hobby for anyone to pursue with balance. I don't think the square jaw look does a thing for a woman though.
everything. a women could want to be fit. women body builders just started doing that a long time ago to prove to men that women can still be beautiful with big muscles. i thinks its ugly.
From what I've observed, they look too "manly". No offence ladies. Maybe its steroids? But hey, they don't look that bad.
It distorts the image of a female physique.
When I see those types of shows come on ESPN I turn the channel because it looks gross.
I like trim women but not one that can beat the crap out of me.
It's not natural looking at all.

Nothing. Unless you're referring to the obvious Steroid abusers.
Nothing at all, but the thing is that their body will always be more important to them than anyone else. It is a source of income for them and I suppose if a person wants to date a bodybuilder that they are able to deal with such mentality.
The same thats wrong with male bodybuilders, most are struck on themselves.
I love my nephew, but he carries bodybuilding way overboard.
He could not exist if his house did not contain numerous mirrors to look at himself.
Are other bodybuilders this way?
i don't think that there's wrong with female bodybuilders, it's just that people are not used into seeing female bodybuilders
Nothing is wrong with them, it's just that they have so much muscle, and VERY little body fat!!!
I mean, if they had a LOT of muscle AND some fat, they would look more natural.
well i think ladies should be nice and soft not muscular and manly. that would be like a virago.
A lot of female bodybuilders look manly due to the steroids they take. Many androgenic anabolic steroids increase the production of testosterone in the body. In men, this leads to an increase in sex drive and power and strength when working out. In women, this too can happen but can cause the appearance of male characteristics such as; defined jaw line, cheek bones, and facial hair.
Sometimes they can be a little scary looking.
Men are from Mars, women are from venus. nuff said.
They become extreme losing the femininity that made them beautiful.
God made girls to be feminine. I don't belive in girls building arm strength at all.
Nothing is wrong with them, it is their body. They can choose to whatever they want to it.
Nothing at all if they're doing it with maximum focus on health. However, some FBB's are driven by externally imposed anatomical aesthetics which have led to steroid use and unhealthful dietary practices during competition.
IMO they look ugly, whatever the gender. Especially when they're trying to make them look bigger - the expression on their face looks like they're trying to poop a watermelon.
absolutely nothing
Who am I to judge? What ever floats their boat is their business.
The shear dedication and hard work in male AND female bodybuilders should be respected. Only lazy, undriven people who have no concept of this would ask such a stupid question!
Some of them feel a need to be hypercompetitive, but then again that might just be a problem for bodybuilders in general. I think bodybuilding is a great hobby and nothing wrong with it if it makes you happy, conditional on you not using it to make others unhappy (intentionally).
There is nothing wrong with it if it is done naturally, but there are some problems with more popular IFBB competitions
-they get a fraction if the prize money that the men get
-many FBBs choose to pose in erotic photo shoots or even nude to pay for their training, food, supplements, etc. How many male BBs do you know do this?
-many also session wrestle. Once again how many male BBs do you know of doing thi?
-They take steroids that make look and sound like men and cause a bunch of other medical problems.
-FBBs with breast implants tend to place higher than those without so many get them aswell. Breast implants are costly and not covered by insurance, you also have them MRI scanned every year to check for leaks.
they are bigger than me
