No, even if it were possible they wouldn't live long enough. Such energetic radiation would kill the plant. A comparable question would be "Could I get a suntan from X-rays and gamma rays?" Same answer.

No. X-rays and gamma rays would cause damage to the DNA of the plants, resulting in plant death. Photosynthesis typically uses the 'low' end of the visual spectrum of light; that is, they use the reds and yellows and NOT the high energy spectrum (e.g. UV, blue, violet, X-ray and gamma ray emissions).

No. No, they cannot.

vallka vaiyakun vallka valamudan No, A general equation for photosynthesis is: 6 CO2(gas) + 12 H2O(liquid) + photons → C6H12O6(aqueous) + 6O2(gas) + 6 H2O(liquid) carbon dioxide + water + light energy → glucose + oxygen + water There you go, you can see that photons are required for photosynthesis to take place. For joke: And if some one does manage to use some other type of rays, they wont get photosynthesis. Ex; If its x-ray,then you get only electrosynthesis....hahaha!
