  • If human nature wasn't what it is I believe that the world would be a much better place if we were all communists. Unfortunately human nature being what it is, some people become more equal than others so communism doesn't, and can't, work.
  • You can look at it in two different ways. In one way it can & in the other way it cant. It can because money is being divided so that the whole country can benifit from it. But this means that businesses dont sucseed. And also, there is limited freedom which can cause anger in a country.
  • The socialistic aspects of communism can greatly benefit a country. It makes people think of the whole and not just the individual. Obviously communism has some negative elements, as have been discussed.
  • Free health care, free education for all, affordable housing, less crime, less inequality....
  • Has it ever before? That's what you really need to know. I can't think of any time that it has.
  • It depends in many ways, communism and social parties alike have had many benefits and lows in one's point of view. Communist countries and states most of the time abused their power. Let's take for example Russia, it used the main throtle of it's workers as a military muchine. If you like being safe and direct within your borders than yes this was a good place to live in. Most rulers have had a hard time working with the communist system, when your a communist ruler you have to keep up with your income, groos national product, and your military. The main problem face with a communist country is that if one of these factors fail then your out of the game, if u loose your income from your resident workers than you cant operate your military and in this case your country. This is why most countries are Democracies, communism only works for five of the world's countries(China,Laos,Vietnam,North Korea, and Russia). With one exception, vietnam is depicted as a democratic communist country, they work for themselves and run their country as a communist country for their own personal reasons.
  • I think communism is one extreme whereas anarchocapitalism(everything including the courts and lawmakers are privatized) is the other. Some things are better left in the market. No point in nationalizing fast food. While other things are best run by the government such as police, the fire department, the courts, and health care. However, the worst things people see in communism (no free speech, dictatorship) are not essential to it. Moldova, Cyprus, and Nepal all have democratically elected communist majorities and show no sign of moving towards banning dissenting parties. Doesn't mean that communism is the way to go. Moldova is the poorest country in Europe. But even communist countries except maybe N. Korea aren't really pure communist even if it's on the to-do list of the Communist Party. There's always some things that the market is allowed to take care of.
  • The only way a communist society would be able to work and even thrive is if everyone participated of their own free will and choice and everyone was completely honest and unselfish. Otherwise, it will be a total disaster.
