remember it is not a get rich quick scheme. If you are the primary bread winner start part time with a smaller company(privatly owned). That way you can maintain a stable source of income. Be patient, Stay the course It cam be a lucrative industry it just takes time.

If you have a job at the moment, I sure wouldn't be quitting to go into real estate right now. Never mind the economy, but this time of year is the slowest in housing sales. As a beginning agent,in most agencies, you will work on commission only, and pay your own expenses. Try it as a second "job" part time, until the economy picks up. Oh, I see this question is 18 months old. What did you decide?
