  • I didn't know there was such a law. Probably the people that get those jobs are political appointees who have no background, experience or expertise...they're there because of payback...ultimately at our expense.
  • Usually committees of scientists, industry bodies and government jointly make these decisions, or they are based on WHO guidelines. Often items that are carcinogenic (not always) are found to be that by loading rats/mice up with that food only and such a large amount that no person could ever consume a comparable amount. Sometimes, though, people on these committees are compromised and do make bad decisions.
