Not sure exactly, but from what I know, Geckos are usually rather small, where chameleons are larger and have the ability to change their colour to blend in with their surroundings.

CHAMELEON'S CHANGE COLORS, HAVE A "FLIP OUT" TONGUE, AND HAVE TWO TOES ON ONE SIDE OF THE FOOT AND THREE ON THE OTHER;THE BACK FEET ARE OPPOSITE OF THE FRONT, AND CAN CURL THEIR TAILS UP INTO A SMALL SPIRAL WHEN SLEEPING OR RESTING. GECKOS DO NOT CHANGE COLORS, RUN AFTER FOOD TO CATCH WITH THEIR MOUTHS, AND THEY HAVE FIVE TOES TOGETER LIKE A HUMAN'S HAND. THE CLIMATE AND TERRITORIES OF THE CHAMELEONS AND GECKOS ARE ALSO DIFFERENT AND VARY BETWEEN SPIECES.
