I'll put it this way: if it runs, it's mine!!

American!! Why buy foreign? GM makes a great car! Don't send our hard earned money overseas! WE build just as good a car as they do and you dont have to drive miles to get it serviced! Why drive a tin can on wheels when you can drive a better car for less!!
-
HONDAS ROCK! FORDS Are, well, Like they say ...F-O-R-D = Found-On-Road-Dead!

I am american. I will buy a car based on price, durability, and MPG. I dont care if its a foreign or made down the road. If you choose to spend more money for a car based on the fact that it is an import or american made and nothing else, then your an idiot.

i would buy a foreigh vehichle for its look and the mpg + how smooth it is

Since so-called American cars are made almost entirely with foreign parts, and are assembled by non-American workers, there is no way possible to buy an American car. Even the car companies that were once American are often owned by foreign investors.

Today, American made automobiles have lost their luster to the motoring public. its a lack of dependability. When you drive and when you buy a Toyota or Honda, you will understand why more and more Americans are driving these vehicles. they are precision-built vehicles with a price tag we can afford. Back in the 70s and 80s, General Motors built some pretty nasty automobiles. i know you have noticed them on the highway, the ones that are rusting and the paint is peeling off. didn't they know that galvanixed steel would not hold a paint job? its hard to recover from two decades of bombshell automobiles. Toyota or Honda. ask any mechanic which vehicle he services the most. its not a Honda and its not a Toyota.

American Vehicles have totally lost it. Foreign is alot better

Well, seeing as American car companies don't care about the environment and foreign companies do, I'd buy a foreign made car any day. I'd actually really love to have a Honda.

As a person who is usually buying cars near the end of their life anyways, I have developed a STRONG preference for foreign. My Toyotas, Hondas, Subis, and VWs have always had simple, cheap-to-fix issues. Every GM, Ford, or Dodge product I have owned or borrowed had SERIOUS issues; head gaskets, transmissions... nothing that could be fixed for under $750 and usually closer to $2K.

I buy the best car I can afford. For me, that's usually a Honda. However, my Honda was built in Canada. With the massive levels of free trade and foreign investment occurring all around the world, it is not possible to trace "who is profiting" based upon the supposed nationality of the owners. I can own Honda stock and benefit from each Honda a German person buys. In turn I can spend that money in my local economy. The only thing you can really do to 'buy American' and help the American economic situation is to buy a car that is assembled in America, and get over the idea that buying a Chevy is patriotic.

i am American and i would by a foreign car. Most foreign cars sold here are made here anyway, and they are more fuel efficient. Detroit seems to be constantly one step behind the market.
