Help answer this question below.
Dark Blue/Light Blue pill marked 44 391 is a generic, over the counter form of Midol Menstrual manufactured by LNK International.
contains:
Acetaminophen 500 mg Pain reliever
Caffeine 60 mg Stimulant
Pyrilamine maleate 15 mg Diuretic
I obviously don't know if this is the pill but I found a reference to it at drugs.com which is the drug database

Take it to your pharmacy and get an id.
Take it to your local pharmacy presuming it is a legal medication. They can tell you exactly what it is.

Found this info at www.pharmer.org
Should be accurate.

i was wondering if you just knew that off hand... considering the "jay" in the screenname :) although, i guess that's not really gender specific.

I found similar confirmation, but I would take it to the pharmacy to double check.
Or, you could simply ask your kid...
by Jeffers on May 2nd, 2007
yeah, maybe they just weren't sure how to approach the kid though. i mean, if you know it's some prescription drug that they are taking illegally, i'd go in completely different than if i thought is was likely nothing harmful or illegal.
by zee-ster on May 2nd, 2007
My approach would be different.
I would ask the kid directly "I found this on the floor in your room... what is it?" and give the kid a chance to explain. Then I would discuss that I, as parent, was concerned about the unknown pill, and the thought that my kid was possibly experimenting with prescription drugs... and segue into a conversation about drug abuse.
I would not give the pill back to the kid.
THEN I would verify that the pill was, what the kid told me and be privately proud of my child for telling the truth. I would NOT tell my kid I checked up on him, or in anyway let him know. I would just reference, later, how glad I am that we could talk openly about it.
OTOH,if the pill turned out to be something insidious, or NOT what the kid told me, then it would be time to have a "come to Jesus" meetin'... and we would focus on the fact that the kid lied as the primary conversation point. Then I would drag his ass to a drug counselor for serious therapy.
by Jeffers on May 2nd, 2007
lol! a "come to jesus" meeting, eh? anyhow, i like your idea about checking on the pill without telling the kid, so to them, hopefully they feel like they have the benefit of the doubt. well, i guess it's a bit hard for me to know quite what i would do since i'm not a parent ... i don't have the same mindset.

Hey! Thanks Dean! No worries though. Not many actually rate answers to these "What's this pill?" questions. :)
by Jay Was Here - AYPWIP on January 2nd, 2008
even i forgot to rate you on this one... then again, i didn't double check your answer. sometimes i'll do that on factual (aka not opinion) questions' answers just to make sure.

No worries, Miss Zee! How are you? Happy New Year!
by Jay Was Here - AYPWIP on January 2nd, 2008
Hi Miss Zee, we've been checking each other's zero responses and catching up for the new year. I have over 300, many others have many more. It's a tremendous task.

that sounds about right, the dean. jay, i am still trying to get better, but i'm on the downhill slope portion of it at least! xmas was great, but i can't seem to visit that place in the winter without getting some awful (and long lasting) sickness. i am glad it is *finally* the new year though. happy new year to you! any resolutions?
by zee-ster on January 3rd, 2008
Most of that went over my head, but I hope you are well. Happy New Year.
