If no one votes someone really nasty will could come to power. Oh wait a minute, I think that already happened ;-)

I think to voice our thoughts on who we think could run the government well.

Because voting is a right we fought and died for. While even the best candidate makes promises they can't keep, they're a better choice than someone who's incapable of doing the job. Politicians tell people what they want to hear. It's up to us to do the research, understand the scope of their power and make the best choice.

So we can 'pretend' we have 'some' power left.
