  • A friend of mine just had a baby boy 2 weeks ago and she named him Saint Christopher Erin (her name, Erin). I forget the last name, but she calls him Saint!
  • It's not common in English but it is in Spanish. Think of it this way: the name "Jesus" is derived from the Hebrew name "Joshua," and nobody has any problem with children being named "Joshua." So why should this be different?
  • G'day Bolilla, Thank you for your question. Not really. After all, think of how many people in the Islamic world are called Mohammed or Muhammad. Christopher means bearer of the anointed one in Greek while Christian is a profession of your religion. Regards
  • I think its lovely when people name their kid Jesus, Christopher, or Christian, but goodness what tough names to live up to! =]
  • I think all are great names, though I applaud the hispanics for pronouncing Jesus as hay-zeus, for even though it is spelled the same, it is said differently. Oddly enough, my hispanic buddy at work has Jesus (hay-zeus)for a middle name, and what is more, his mom is María, which is spanish for mary. I hope the rest is obvious!
