Is it legal for minors (under age 21) to drink at Indian reservations and casinos in the US?

It is NOT legal for minors to drink at casinos or reservations in the continental United States. The Caribbean is a different story...the drinking age there is 18, but at most casinos in the US it is 21. In fact, many casinos will not even allow minors into the game areas. I found out the hardway in Las Vegas when I was 19 that they don't allow minors to drink. Indian Reservations are still part of the United States, and hence fall under the nation-wide drinking-age law of 21. They are not subject to alternate drinking age laws.

Indian reservations, is considered their land, they can have some of their own laws. For example, gambling is ilegal in Oklahoma, but yet, Casinos are perfectly legal on the Indian reservations in that state, and people can legally gamble there. However, you and the Indian reservations must submit to all federal laws. So, no, it's not legal to drink, under the age of 21, on an Indian reservation.

There is no federal law making drinking under the age of 21 illegal. States enacted 21 age drinking laws in order to recieve highway funds from the federal government. Councils usually create tribal law for the reservation or laws come from treaties with the federal government. The only reason drinking on a reservation would be illegal is if the tribal council made a law outlawing drinking under 21 years of age.

no. There is not one Rez or Casino in the US where people under the age of 21 can legally consume alcohol. Nor any military bases either for that matter.

Indian reservations, generally have their own laws, concerning minors and consumption of alcohol. casinos, in the united states, do not allow minors to enter their casino, thus consumption of alcohol, under 21, is not a problem. no one under 21 is allowed in a u.s. land-based or water-based casino.
