I have never been in a motorcycle gang but went to a motorcycle gang wedding.

I have not, but my Dad has. He was in the gang until he was almost killed after colliding with a lorry thirty years ago. He has not rode a motorbike since that day

My ex was accepted into a gang, but he never was able to buy a bike. His step-father tried to sell him a Harley, but he would spend his money on beer and drugs. Some how he just could never save enough money to make a payment, step-daddy finally sold it to someone able to pay-surprise, surprise!! Last time I seen him, the president of the bike gang was telling him to get a bike or he was out. He's probably still making excuses!!
