Have you ever gone dumpster diving for recycling? How much did you end up with?

I went to college in NY state and me and my buddy across the hall would go to the can recycling bins situated at endpoints of the dorm halls. We'd usually have enough money to get a 24 bottle case of good beer and enough left over to usually get a pizza sometimes.

I got a dvd player. I know somebody who found 40 or so x box games behind a Gamestop. I know somebody else who found 200 (new testing model) laptops behind an HP center.

I sure have..I walked away with 3 nice pictures,many books and some vases. Love to stop and shop when I can.

I've never done it for recycling. But when I was teen and I was having trouble passing the DMV written Driving Test. I learned that I could only fail it 3 times and them I would have to wait some months before I could take it again. So, I took it twice and failed. I wanted to make sure I passed on the third try. So I learned there were about 5 different versions of the test. Then I went in back of the DMV on the weekend and went dumpster diving and got a copy of all five exams which some people had already answered and thrown away. So they had the correct answers and well marked wrong ones. Needless to say I've been driving ever since.
