Corcoran College of Art & Design http://corcoran.org/ It's expensive, but if I had the money, I would go without hesitation. Not only does it have a museum of its own, it's walking distance from the Smithsonian, and going to Corcoran gives you behind-the-scenes kind of privileges there, too. It's across from the White House, and the tourist part of DC is actually a pretty nice place. The on-campus housing is amazingly nice. Oh, and 4 year students have the opportunity to host their own exhibit, open to all, their final year. I believe the King of Sweden (maybe another country in that area) even purchased a student's artwork a few years back. That has to be the coolest thing. Ah! I wish I could go there!
