Yes indeedy! I slept with her last night.... Seriously though - of course it does. It may not be as prevalent but it is also not so strictly enforced. That means that the folk who remain chaste are perhaps doing so more from their own choice.

Yes, a good place to start looking would be among the middle eastern cultures. Some priests also remain chaste by choice.

It does in the lifes of some Buddhists. I practice brahmachariya from time to time. Brahmachariya is total abstention from sexual activity (masturbation included). It deepens my meditation practice, raises my energy, creates bliss, and stillness / contentment. Ive done it for two months unbroken once, so yes it does exist. Though I would say very few people follow the path. In the movement I am in, the FWBO (friends of the western buddhist order) out of over 1000 ordained people, about 20 or so are totally chaste (by choice)
