I would say an honourable draw.

Good moaning! Now listen very carefully, I shall say this only once... Allo Allo is the a clear winner over Dad's Army, the catchphrases were so much better for a start... although "Don't panic!" was quite good, admittedly... "Don't tell him your name Pike!" was also good... but really the characters in Dad's Army were fundamentally a bunch of silly old men, whereas Allo Allo had characters of all genders, nationalities and professions which made for a lot more interesting and diverse storylines, at least to me. Did they ever find the painting of the fallen Madonna with the big boobies?

I liked Dads Army but wasnt keen on Allo Allo.

I Would say allo allo would be funnier fo a laugh but i have no objections to Dads Army. Gordon Kay and Arthur Lowe are both very funny.

Both written by same person. Both very different and good in their own ways. Gorden Kaye, Carmen Silvera, Arthur Lowe and John Le Mesurier are all legends and very funny people. Has to be a clear draw and probably the most repeated shows on the BBC. Dads Army and Allo Allo are forever being repeated on BBC One and BBC Two. When was the last time you saw a repeat of Only Fools and Horses on these channels? You only ever see it on a digital one!
-
Definitely Allo Allo.
