I have a friendship bracelet (from back in the 80's) that my sister gave me when I was 13. I have worn it around my ankle since (for good luck), I am 30. My cousin also gave me one when I was 18 that I intertwined with my sisters.

I wear it to remind myself to be open to new things, because you never know what life will deal you. And I have a gold bracelet from India that my father bought for my mother, but she never wears jewelry so she gave it to me.

I take off all jewellery as soon as I enter the house, except for the bracelets my husband bought me which I never remove. I never leave the house without earrings and my rings and the first gift my husband bought me, a gold cross and chain.

apart from wedding ring a gold locket which has two photo spaces inside,my hubby gave me it when my two children were born, it even has dents in it which were put there by my teething children (its on a long chain), dont think i will ever stop wearing it, i get quite sentimental when i feel those wee dents! LOL

Wedding ring, but now the stone fell out so i am not wearing it. It feels so weird to be without it and there's a groove aroudn my finger. But I also wear anklets, different ones each day, one or two, very long and dangly. All from India and Pakistan
