No. It can get dumb at times because I think they're running out of material. The older ones were better because they were funnier. I see a classic South Park and it gets me rolling but some of the newer ones can be dull from start to finish. I just watch out of loyalty.
-
No. I just think it's a stupid show.
-
Any show that pricks the pomposities or religion, politics and show business gets my vote. They ffend everyone equally which makes me believe that humour isnt dead in North America, especially when you see such insipid comedies such as Will and Grace, Everyone Loves Raymond and King of Queens
-
Not at all. The creators of south park are trying to be funny. It's just like any joke, meant for a few laughs and not to be taken too seriously. Lighten up and watch it for the comedy alone, this isn't an attack to anyone, just a funny show.
-
What I've seen, yes. I'm not anti abortion, but I watched the most distasteful episode concerning the subject, needless to say I didn't really bother after that. I'd seen a few previous episodes to that one, and each one was in equally bad taste.
-
I only saw the movie and it did offend me so I don't watch it.
-
no. its the crap that everyone thinks but hasn't got the balls to say...so lets all cry about it.
-
i think they offend some people. and, i'm glad. how boring would it be if we all watched the same shows?
-
Yes, but at least South Park is clever. And people don't have to watch if they don't like it. I'm more offended by really unfunny lamebrain comedies that have to have a laugh track. (Note: I have NOT said all comedies with a laugh track are unfunny.)
-
They certainly offend people. I'm offended at least once an episode. But I'm glad these shows exist. If we can't laught at everything, then why laugh at all?
-
Yes they do, but then again, I don't think there is a single show in TV that doesn't offend someone.
-
Heck yes. I hate south park. It pisses me off every time I even see one of the commercials (I curse every time I see the farting commercial it's so bad). I know they have the right to say that stuff and I not asking comedy Central to cancel it, I just really don't like the messages it gives.
-
Doesn't offend me anymore than the world it portrays.
-
They do, but the people who get the humor understand that it's not for the point of being offensive, it's making fun of offensive humor in a way.
-
They can, but if someone's offended they don't have to watch it. I have never felt offended though. It's really the only show I can laugh out loud at. Other shows offend me so I don't watch those.
-
That is the whole thing about the show is to just be offensive. I cannot stomach it, I have to be honest, it pisses me off that our society has reduced itself to that level so I do not watch.
-
Yes, here's to Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
-
The fact that it offends people, sometimes makes it even more funny, by proving a point that many humans take things too seriously.
-
Absolutely, but the great thing about it is that they offend everybody. At some point on some episode every group, race, religion, gets offended. Nothing is off limits. Most of the time what they are saying is true and at the end of every episode there is a reflective message that says the right thing. Now they offend some more than others and thats because those people are in fact R-Tards, like most celebrities,
-
I'm sure it does but nobody forces them to watch it!
-
Not at all it's hilarious.
-
No, not really. It just pokes fun at the world and all its problems, though in a vulgar manner, but I don't mind.
-
Nope. It used to be funny and the movie was freaking hilarious. Right up there with Borat. People that get offended take things personally, and if you take a movie or show personally you've got to worry about a lot more important things then that.
-
nothing to be offended by
-
No. But I don't watch it.. just not my thing.
-
Sometimes I am, but I think "South Park" presents a satirical view of our culture, so most of the offensive items relate to attitudes and opinions that are present in our culture but ignored by those not negatively affected by them. Stirring up trouble isn't always bad.
-
Yes, I am. -In the Master's service. Thank you and God bless you!
-
well my mum is
-
Sometimes the potty humour goes a little overboard, but the social and political commentary is biting and freakin' hilarious, so it more than balances out.
-
I have once or twice thought they've gone a little too far, but 99% of the time it's brilliant. :)
-
Not in the slightest. I think South Park is funny as hell precisely *Because* it's so "Offensive". One thing I've noticed about South Park is that it operates on two different levels. There's the superficial gags, the crass potty-humour and mindlessly inflammatory bits which are sprinkled evenly throughout each episode, and then there are the actual themes and often ironic messages of the episodes, which function on a higher level (i.e. political and social commentary). Because of this subtle, multi-layered approach, South Park really does tend to come across as whatever you expect it to be when you start watching it. If you go in expecting nothing but crass potty-humour and mindless filth, that's what you'll notice, but if you give it more of a chance, you might notice the slightly more advanced humour.

Should I be?
-
no but did you kill kenny you b,stard
-
No, I love that show and it has not offended me yet. I was not irked at anything to do with that show until that whiny ass, thin skinned douche Isaac Hayes left because he had a problem with Scientology's turn to get ripped on came around.
-
I find it crude.
-
No way! South Park is awesome, mmk?
-
Yes. I am offended by South Park and its content. Thank you and may God bless you! :D -In Jesus' Name.
-
Not all people.
-
I used to watch South Park. But then they got extremely blasphemous, and I quit watching because it did offend me.
-
SOUTH PARK DOESNT OFFEND PEOPLE.PEOPLE OFFEND PEOPLE!Nuff said
-
Of COURSE they do! There are two ways to get people's attention 1) Target a limited demographic 2) Cause enough hate, discontent, and controversy that people who normally would have no interest in hearing your message to [read your book/watch your show] just to see what has everybody all worked up thereby hitting demographics you never thought you could. Look at the sales for Last Temptation of Christ. Had there not been an uproar, it likely would've been a mediocre success at best. I never would've seen Team America had it not been for hearing how utterly wrong it was.
-
I think everything offends some people. Honestly, we are all so thin-skinned these days (self included).
-
Didn't offend me. I just didn't watch. There is so much more (tasteful) entertainment out there.
-
Yes, but that's what makes it South Park. I never got offended watching it. :|
-
Yes. But, if someone is offended, it should make them think. And examine. And that's a good thing. It leads to better understandings. That's partly what art is all about.
-
I think "Robot Chicken" can be offensive. When it bothers me, it gets shut off.
-
yes they do that is why i watch them. I dont get offended
-
The thing with South Park is that it usually has a message. Yes, it delievers it in a crude ad offensive way, which I find funnay as hell most of the time, but for the most part, every episode has a point they're trying to get accross.
-
Good! Some people need to be offended. South Park does get a message across now and then, just not in the way people expect. Freedom of speech doesn't mean just stuff you agree with. You also have to be willing to stand up for the rights of others to use that right to say things that you find horribly offensive. That is what freedom is about! Just as one side has the right to free speech, so does the other. It is a tv show. If someone finds it too offensive to leave unblocked, block it! This is the age of the V chip and parental controls. When it comes down to it, the ones who are up in arms about shows like South Park are actually helping the shows, as they are just giving them more publicity!
-
Cliche though it may be to say, "F*** 'em if they can't take a joke!"
-
Yes, and I think that is the point.
-
Yeah but thats why it's funny because some people get really pissed off by it
-
South Park defiantly offends people, thats why they do it!
-
Some they do, some they don't.
-
Yes. Personally I hate the show because it's a little to "iffy" and crude for me....but that's just my own opinion. I see nothing wrong with other people watching it... :)
-
No... it gets a little vulgar from time to time, but not offensive.
-
Nah, it takes a lot to offend me.
-
I don't watch it because I fail to see anything funny about using nonsense as an effort to shock people. I guess I moved past that sort of thing when I left my teen years behind.
-
There is actually no other show like South Park. And yes, it could sometimes be offensive. But it is mostly brillant.
-
Yes,I know that it does me.
-
A lot of things offend people, and if you know that it will offend you then just don't watch it.
-
No, or at least it don't me. Suck my balls - South park
-
For the most part its just staire. But the potty humor is too much for me and I think they are very insensitve with some subjects. I dont watch the show anyhow. I got a five year old at home.
-
The show is stupid, but it's like looking at a trainwreck, you just can't look the other way.
-
No. One of the biggest problems we have is that we aren't willing to find humor in ourselves.
-
no, i love south park...
-
I love it more than life itself.
-
Nope.
