I had bad pains as a teenager. Then went on the pill for a couple of years. Actually made them better. Got off the pill and then got really bad pains. I still occassionally get terrific cramps and I'm pre-menopausal! SOmetimes my cycle is as short as 21 days and sometimes as long as 3 months! Mother nature has a sense of humor!

this was my exact reason for coming off the pill. my pains were so bad that i actually felt like i would be sick, which is never good when your busy or at work. especially when the pains hurt so much you are buckling over at your desk... i dont actually know why this happens despite asking my doctor but i was just advised to come off the pill. i had been on this particular pill for around 4 years, on the pill in general for around 6/7. i can only suggest if your having bad pains to come off it, as mine became almost instantly better. but i would go to the doctors just in case, as menstrual-like-cramps can also be linked to other things too that are far more serious.

I have been taking birth control sence i was nine yrs old,now I am twenty five yrs old. I started out with very bad cramps and heavy bleeding. At first the pill worked for me it stoped the bad cramps and the heavy bleeding. I stoped taking the pill when i was eightteen, i never got pregant so i started back on the pill three yrs ago. The healt dept. ran out of my usual brand so they started me on a lower brand, also because the others made me sick. Now i start on my third white pill, at first its heavy bleeding and my cramps are worse than they were before. So i think that if your having the same simlair problems you should talk to your health care provider, try to find a better type of birth control. I plain to stop taking the pills. Does anyone know if :after taking the pill that many yrs, how long it will take to get pregnate?
