  • There are probably a lot of colleges who would accept a student with a 4.8 GPA, but they also have other criteria, such as your SAT or ACT score and your extracurricular activities, like community service, athletics and jobs you've held. Your school counselor can give you good advice about what colleges to apply to, given your record and qualifications. There is a lot more to the process than a high GPA. Congratulations on achieiving such a stellar GPA, by the way!
  • ...is a 4.8 even possible? 4.0 is straight A's. I don't see how anyone could achieve that. But colleges depend grades, high school activities, letters of recommendation, essays, test scores...theirs a lot of things. A lot of websites can help you see what qualifications you need to get into a school. I've been using www.collegeview.com
