  • The bottle probably says something like "80 proof" which is double the percentage of alcohol in the drink. IE 80 proof is 40% alcohol.
  • I think rum and vodka have more or less the same amount of alcohol in it. I think the reason why it affected you so much is because your body is used to the rum already and when you gave it a new liquor, it affected you differently.
  • almost all hard alcohol (rum, vodka, brandy, ect) is 80 proof (40% alcohol) what you want to do is mix it up whan ever possible (unless you dont want to get drunk and in that case why drink?) because your body metabolizes it differently
