  • Of course...its apart of life...been around since the dawn of time...although not as exploited as it is now...but still apart of us none the less
  • theres nothing wrong with it. i mean as long as its not snuff or child porn or anything like that.
  • No, I do not. ANything that reduces mainly women and children to pleasure toys is not something our society should be condoning. We teach that women are equal and should be treated with dignity in our schools, yet teach the opposite message through condoning pornography.
  • Speaking in terms of the only people involved being consenting adults of legal age, then yes. As long as there are willing actors and willing consumers, then it can be considered their choice as adults who are able to make their own decisions about whether or not to participate in/consume pornography. However pornography involving any situation where people involved are not consenting or do not have the faculty to legally consent, i.e. Child pornography, Recording without the person's knowledge, is not acceptable by any means. Some would argue that pornography of any kind is degrading by it's very nature, and it is, but the people who participate in it have the right to hold that kind of degrading view and tell it freely, just as all of us people who don't have every right to not partake. "I do no agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."
  • Anything is acceptable as long as it is not forced upon a person. You must make your own decisions.
  • Acceptable or not, it is a personal choice. What is UNACCEPATABLE is the thought the government or other "well meaning" people might try to make this choice for us.
  • I found an interesting article about it there: "Pornography's legitimate place in society": http://libertus.net/censor/odocs/ppprng9808.html The idea is "that no pornography should be outlawed provided that fully consenting adult actors are employed in its production." If the actors were brainwashed or lured or threatened or sold into the pornographic industry as they were children or helpless and do not find any possibility to get out of there, it is not the case. Here some other information about how pornography is defined and what the dark sides are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pornography
  • Since the question asks if "I" think porn is acceptable..the answer is no. It is a personal thing and what is acceptable to some is not to others. And judging by it's popularity, I am in a minority. Straightforward question..honest answer..make of it what you will.
  • I don't object to its being out there - and I'm thinking of the erotica rather than the cruel sadistic stuff, or child porn. It's important to keep it from very young kids. Teen boys will find it no matter what. When it was forbidden, it flourished "underground." Porn from the Victorian era is some of the raunchiest ever. It's a constitutional matter, and censorship is not okay.
  • yeah as long as it doesn't involve children or animals. ideally those making it should consent it.
  • I dont object to it.
  • im not against it but im not for it either
  • It is acceptable as long as it is in private.
  • Tis a vice that is more tolerated by me than accepted.
  • Noo..i think its very wrong
  • I hear pornography is worse then crack. Personally I don't like anything that I am not in control of, weather it is natural or not. "It could be more addictive than crack cocaine because cocaine can be excreted from the body. Pornographic images cannot. They remain, structurally and neurochemically, with a person forever." http://www.ewtn.com/library/ISSUES/REALKINS.HTM
