I don't take it personally but I do get annoyed when someone deducts points when I share an opinion. Especially when it's a religion/Bible-based question, since so many people accuse Christians of not being open-minded.

If about half a dozen other people have the same answer and yours is the only Down rate then I think maybe it is personal. Other than that no, I have got past the point of bothering about them I just say thankyou and send them a smile. Too many people are just going around downrating loads of people for the fun of it so let them enjoy themselves . 'Different strokes for different folks'

No, I don't take it personally, although I know that sometimes it is personal. Quite frankly, I truly don't care any more, if somebody has an issue with me, leave them to it. I also have never really understood why some people always write 'I just got downrated' under their answer or question. I mean, does it matter that much? The down rate button/option exists. People are BOUND to use it, whether it's legitimate use or a personal attack.

I take it personally for about a second and then I get over it. It used to take me longer to get over it but I've grown. lol Now I don't even know if I get down rated unless I get drawn back to an answer through a comment or if I just happen across it. By then it's really too late to bother with it. What the heck, I'm almost in the top ten what do I care if I get a few down rates. I think my record speaks for itself. I have way more positive ratings than negative one so screw it I say.
