  • Your engagment is a long one, that can be a wonderful thing but don't expect everybody to have one as long as you. She is not likely getting married just for the sake of doing it before you, let it go. If it bothers you that much, bumb up your wedding date.
  • This does pose a slight dilemma but not for you - for your wedding guests on his side of the family because they will have to shell out for two weddings so close together. You can't be RUDE and "talk" to her about moving her date but it wouldn't be out of place for your fiance to get together with his mom and sister to discuss having the wedding dates at least 6 months apart to give your guests a financial break!
  • Why is she planning a wedding a year after she got married?
  • i married my husband the week end after his cousin got married the truth is summer is the wedding season i am sure your guests wont mind after all no matter how far apart the weddings are they still have to go to 2 and buy 2 presents
  • I am sorry but why is this an issue? You both have the right to get married when you want to. You and your fiance chose a longer engagement and a fall wedding because that was what you wanted and was what was right for you...his sister chose a shorter engagement and summer wedding because it was was what she and her fiance want and is right for them.
